Praises for Soo Bahk

Hello Andy

Just wanted to tell you what an incredible experience Saturday was. You were so right as to how it might affect my boy. After the clinic the only way I can describe him is “pumped” . He was so up and excited and happy that he went.

The most special moment for me was when the instructor had the kids huddled and asked a question about what Soo Bahk Do meant and this usually really shy little boy  actually raised his hand to answer and she picked him and after his answer she said something like that was as perfect an answer as could be. Literally brought a tear to my eye!!

The topper for me was this morning when I told him it was a short week and that he had Thursday and Friday off , he said something like , “great the week will end fun cause I get to go to the Sawbuck Do Jang on Wednesdays”!!

I am so proud of him and how he behaved and participated.  Can't express how grateful I am for all you do for him!!! I have never felt more right and hopeful about having him do this.

My 11 year old daughter has been training in Soo Bahk Do, with Master Hamer, since she was 6 years old.  No activity or sport has done more for her, overall, than this particular martial art; and, no instructor has ever provided as much support as Andy Hamer.  The strength and balance, both physical and mental, are only a few of the many benefits my child has obtained from her Soo Bahk Do training.  I have since started my younger 8 year old daughter, who struggles with focus, and I am very quickly seeing the same effects on her. The increase in her ability to focus, in both school and home, are obvious since she started her training. I cannot recommend The Sawbuck Do Jang and Master Hamer’s training enough for any child or adult.

"Soo Bahk Do is a "Moo-do," or a "War-Art."  Knowledge of how to defend yourself from the perspective of compassion, intelligence and frequent practice helps you maintain control and composure and helps you make the right decision when a difficult situation arises."

“I cannot overstate the benefits of studying martials arts (particularly Soo Bahk Do) as a young person or an adult.  Having spent many of my formative years at the Sawbuck Do Jang to become a Dan (equivalent to 1stdegree black belt), I am keenly aware of the emotional, mental, and physical discipline that were cultivated in me at a young age.  These traits, along with a strong work ethic and respect for others, have stayed with me all my life.  Andy is an experienced mentor with a passion for helping students find peace and expand their potential.  Time spent under his guidance will be time well-spent.”
